HANKELOW PARISH COUNCIL


Minutes of the Meeting held 5th July 2004.


THOSE PRESENT :- The Chairman, Cllrs. Hulme, Mottershead, Hill also 1 Parishioner.


The Minutes of the A.G.M. held 10th May 2004, were read and accepted, being signed by the Chairman.


MATTERS ARISING.


  1. THE POND.


Cllr. Hulme confirmed that he had met Mr. Sparkes about the drainage and he had said that he did not think the Parish proposal would work. He said that he would arrange to have the drain jetted. It was not sure if this had been done or not.

The Chairman produced a note from Mr. Jenkins who confirmed that the algae was non toxic. Cllr. Mottershead would obtain 12 posts and they would be fixed in place during the next couple of weeks


  1. PUBLIC HALL.


The Chairman reported that the roof had been done and a start would soon be made on the disabled toilets.


  1. TRAFFIC CALMING FUND.


Cllr. Hill said that he did not think that the remaining money would be spent on Traffic Calming and suggested that this should be moved into the main fund and no longer earmarked. This was agreed.


  1. FESTIVAL OF TRANSPORT.


The Clerk reported that nothing had been heard from ASET about a donation. The Clerk was requested to contact them again.


  1. DOG FOULING.


Cllr. Hill reported that people were allowing dogs to foul the green and suggested that a donation from ASET if received could be used for some signs. The Clerk was requested to contact Environmental Health to order a dog bin.


ACCOUNTS.


Bills were paid as follows :-


J. SCOTT ( ½ YEAR SALARY & EXP ) £ 282.80

A. DAVENPORT ( AUDIT FEE ) £ 40.00

The Clerk reported that the accounts were to go to the Auditors this year. The check sheet was signed by the Chairman.

  1. The Chairman reported that the potholes had not been repaired in Hall Lane. The Clerk was requested to contact the Highways Authority.


There being no other business the meeting was closed with the date of the next meeting being fixed for 1st November 2004.
