HANKELOW PARISH COUNCIL


Minutes of the meeting held 3rd July 2006.

THOSE PRESENT :- The Chairman, Cllrs, Williams, Mounteney, and Foster. Also present was 1 parishioner and Cllr. R. Bailey.

APOLOGIES :- Cllr. Hulme.

The minutes of the meeting held 8th May were read and being accepted were signed by the Chairman.

MATTERS ARISING.

  1. BALL FARM CORNER.

The Clerk reported that the Highways could not tarmac the triangle and said that grass was not feasible.

Cllr. Bailey suggested that the Clerk should contact Rob Welch at Highways to see if he could help.

  1. SHRUBS ON HALL LANE.

Mr. Shenton said that he was not prepared to trim them as they were not obstructing visibility.

ACCOUNTS.

A cheque was issued for £165.33 for the Clerks quarterly salary and expenses and also one for Mr. Mottershead for £20.00 to purchase duck food.

  1. The Clerk was requested to order 1000 bulbs and Mr. Foster offered to distribute them with the newsletter.

  1. The Chairman mentioned a speed restriction and asked Cllr. Baileys comments. She suggested that the clerk should contact Adrian Lawrence at Sound to see how they were treating their application. Mr. Foster said that he was willing to raise a petition for residents to sign asking for a speed limit in the village.

  1. The Chairman reported on all the work done in the village by Sue Walley. The Clerk was requested to write a letter to her.

  1. The Clerk was requested to write to Ron Clark (Pyms Lane) to see if the Grass Cutting could be done on a more frequent basis. This was suggested by Cllr. Bailey.

  1. Cllr. Bailey reported on the anniversary of the Crewe and Nantwich Twinning.

There being no other business the meeting was closed with the date of the next meeting being fixed for the first Monday in November.
